We are currently seeking new members!

Ideally we have the perfect space for a couple and two children - or a couple and a single adult.

To learn more please Contact Us.

We are currently a forming community with just three residents. We are seeking to grow to more than fifteen adults and some number of children.

Membership at Nanjemoy Community offers a number of wonderful benefits: our land and friends, our peaceful home and garden. But we are a young community. Many other opportunities await us as our vision grows.

We currently live in one large home, and so members must be the type who can live in close quarters with each other.

As we grow we intend to add several cottages where individuals and families might live. These would not be "Single Family" homes since they would be without private kitchens - but rather very nice cottages and cabins. The main house would still be where we have meals.

Becoming a Member

Membership at our community is obtained by a decision of the existing members. This is usually, though not absolutely, done at the end of a year long residential provisional membership period where people can get to know each other and see how compatible the group is.

We are seeking Members who are positive to live with, as well as responsible about agreements and supportive of our current vision.

Being fairly small, we do not have the resources to take new members who have no financial resources. We are sustained by the income and hard work of our members.

If you have an interest in learning more or contacting us please take a look at our page on Principles and our Contact Us page.
